“Being away from all my friends has been super hard, but I have taken this time to reflect on how I can improve my relationships with others. I am looking forward to meeting new people and broadening my network this fall. I want to challenge myself to be more intentional with the people I surround myself with and anyone who comes into my life and I am excited to see the outcome of it for myself. My freshman year of college was really overwhelming and VSA gave me a safe space. That is why I am proud to be accepted for a job with the Office of Inclusion and Diversity where I get to mentor scholars and host success seminars in which I can give guidance to incoming freshmen and underclassmen and help them improve their college experience.”
